National Geographic Learning / Cengage – Print Ad Redesign
Challenge
After completing a full-page ad design, the project requirements changed, and the final deliverable needed to be reformatted to a half-page layout while still meeting the original deadline.
Approach
Working closely with the project owner, we quickly reviewed the layout to identify which elements could be streamlined without losing the core message. By prioritizing key visuals and adjusting the information hierarchy, we
successfully adapted the design in an efficient manner.
Solution
Redesigned the layout into a clean, well-balanced half-page ad that maintained brand standards and communicated the message clearly despite the size constraints.
Impact
Through quick collaboration and thoughtful design adjustments, the updated ad was delivered on time while preserving the integrity and effectiveness of the original concept.
Layout adapted from full-page to half-page while maintaining clarity and visual balance.
Project Highlight: Newspaper-Style Flyer

The client provided the content and requested a flyer with a newspaper-inspired look and feel. Each HMH program has its own branding, so it was important to design within specific brand guidelines while still delivering a unified, eye-catching layout. I created a custom design that honored both the client’s vision and the brand's identity. They were so pleased with the result that my layout is now being used as a template to promote additional HMH products and repurposed as a mailer.
